Travelers ask AI what to book. Make sure it names you.

When travelers ask ChatGPT or Google what to do, only a few tours get named. AI visibility is how often yours is one of them, and if the facts are right. We grow it, and show you every week.

AI engines we track every week

  • ChatGPT
  • Google AI Mode
  • Google AI Overviews

An AI answer, taken apart.

A traveler asks one question. The answer names a few operators and leaves everyone else out. Four things decide who makes it in.

  1. 1

    Who it names

An answer names only a few operators. If you are not one of them, the traveler may never see you.

  2. 2

    What it says about you

What is included, who it is for, what it costs. AI takes this from your site, or from whatever else it finds.

  3. 3

    Why it trusts you

Reviews, and other sites that talk about you. Our study found these matter more than the numbers most operators watch.

  4. 4

    Where it read it

The pages it shows as sources. Ranking high on Google helps, but most of the sources AI uses are other sites.

  5. We work on all four, for every tour you run.

406,373 AI answers. What they taught us.

We asked AI what travelers ask, for more than six months, and studied every answer. This is the method we use with operators today.

Ranking high on Google helps. But AI reads lots of other sites too, and being talked about there decides who gets named.

Questions about AI visibility.

Something else? A real person replies, typically within 5 working hours.

What is the AI Start Here page? Do I have to answer hundreds of questions?

It is a page on your site written for AI assistants, with your tours, prices, times and policies as plain questions and answers. Every Gondola site has one at yourdomain.com/llm-start-here. We write the first draft from your site and your reviews, so you check and correct instead of starting from scratch. Every other page on a Gondola site is built for AI too, so this page is one piece of the work.

Do I still need SEO?

Yes. Every Gondola site has the technical SEO handled and kept up, and SEO and AI visibility overlap: when a trusted site mentions you, you often get a link too, which helps both. What changed is that fewer people click through from Google, because the answer is right there on the page. So we track AI answers and the map results as well as rankings.

Why does AI recommend my competitor and not me?

AI names the businesses that other trusted sites talk about: tourism boards, local guides, Google Maps and reviews. A rival with a plain website can still win if those sites mention them. We show you which sources AI reads for your area, who it names, and where you are missing.

AI gets my facts wrong. Can you fix it?

A lot of it, yes. The wrong answer usually comes from somewhere: an old price on your own site, a Google profile that does not match, or another site's listing. We find the source, fix what is on your site and profile, and answer the exact question on your AI Start Here page. Mistakes on other people's sites are harder, and we tell you which ones need a direct ask.

Do reviews matter for AI? Google or Tripadvisor?

Google reviews matter most, because Google's AI leans on its own Maps data, and Maps listings are among the sources AI cites most. Ask every guest for a Google review, even the ones who booked through an OTA. A review link in your follow up email and a QR code on board make asking simple.

How do I get onto the sites AI reads?

Start with the pages AI already cites for your area, often your tourism board, visitor bureau, chamber of commerce and Google Maps. If a paid listing gets you onto one of those exact pages, it can be worth it. We give you the list and the approach for each one, and you send the note, because they answer operators far more often than vendors.

Which AI engines do you track?

ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Google's AI Overviews, every week. Our 2026 study also covered Gemini and Perplexity.

Can I do this myself?

Some of it, yes, and the webinar shows how. What we add is the platform and the time: a site where every page is built for AI, weekly tracking of what AI says about you, booking data that shows what is working, and a team that takes the first pass.

Can you promise AI will recommend us? How long does it take?

No. Nobody controls what AI says, and its answers change from one run to the next. We work on what it reads and show you every week what changed. A fix like a wrong price can show up within weeks, while being named more often usually takes longer, because it depends on other sites too.

Does my website need to be on Gondola?

Most of the work happens on your website, so it works best on our platform. We look at your current site with you on the call.
